Ημερίδα «Μαθαίνοντας από γενιά σε γενιά»
Η Ημερίδα συνδιοργανώνεται από το Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο, την ερευνητική ομάδα DAISSy του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου, τη Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη Λάρισας, τον Σύλλογο «Ο Ιπποκράτης στη Λάρισα» και την Αντιδημαρχία Κοινωνικής Πολιτικής του Δήμου Λαρισαίων.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της Ημερίδας θα παρουσιαστούν δράσεις και πρακτικές διαγενεακής μάθησης μεταξύ ηλικιωμένων και παιδιών, που έχουν πραγματοποιηθεί ή πρόκειται να πραγματοποιηθούν στη Λάρισα. Επίσης θα παρουσιαστεί το Μαζικό Ανοικτό Διαδικτυακό Μάθημα (MOOC) για τη διαγενεακή μάθηση, με τίτλο Together Old and Young: An Intergenerational Approach, το οποίο αναπτύχθηκε από την ομάδα DAISSy στο πλαίσιο του Ευρωπαϊκού Έργου TOY-PLUS: Together Old and Young – Practitioners Learning And Upscaling Skills.
Η Ημερίδα διεξάγεται στο πλαίσιο της δράσης «Λάρισα – Η Πόλη που μαθαίνει».
Η συμμετοχή στην εκδήλωση είναι δωρεάν. Στους συμμετέχοντες θα απονεμηθούν βεβαιώσεις παρακολούθησης.
Promotion of “Tackling multiple discrimination in Greece” project at the “LINGUA CUISINE” project awareness event
Driven by enthusiasm was the promotional event of project LINGUA CUISINE that was organized on 20 Oct 2018, in Athens by the DAISSy (Digital Ambient Intelligence Sociotechnical Systems) Research Group of Hellenic Open University. The project promotes equality of access and participation in learning, with emphasis on the development of digital and linguistic skills. By using a combined educational methodology that promotes foreign language learning, digital literacy and intercultural communication through gastronomy, it helps social inclusion and prevents exclusion of people without or with few digital skills, while enhancing the creation of online digital communities with a common culinary interest. An online app for Android and iPhone has been developed as part of the project, which supports authoring and posting digital cooking recipes in six official EU languages. At the end of training, participants received a digital competence certificate based on the European standard DigComp 2.1. LINGUA CUISINE project achieved widespread adoption of this learning methodology with a focus on social inclusion of migrants and that is why project perfectly matches with the concept of project “Tackling multiple discrimination in Greece: Delivering equality by active exploration and enabling policy interventions” (JUST / 2015 / RDIS / AG / DISC / 9507).
The project was promoted with a specially created short video showcasing all DAISSy projects along with a respective intervention delivered by Achilles KAMEAS, Project Scientific Coordinator and Head of DAISSy Research Group. All participants were informed about the project contents and objectives and were handed the project dissemination material. The event provided a favorable environment for the announcement of the upcoming final project conference to be organized by EKKE-National Social Research Centre (Coordinator) for promoting the project results and strengthen their exploitation (17th Dec 2018, Athens). It triggered questions and it attracted further interest of people in this project and its final event.
The event was attended by almost sixty participants from all levels of education and other sectors of activities (local authorities, civil society, etc.) and it provided a favorable environment for the innovative use of digital technology in the learning process and the development of digital skills through creative activities that unite people and favor anti-discrimination behaviors.

The event provided a favorable environment for the announcement of the upcoming awareness WEMIN activities i.e. “A chocolate unites us!” initiative (1.11.2018, at city centre of Athens) and the launch of the short policy guide for stakeholders involved in the management of migrants integration and social inclusion (9.11.2018, at the premises of HOU). These two WEMIN awareness events will be organized by Hellenic Open University – DAISSy Research Group (Coordinator) and “Olympic Training & Consulting Ltd (partner) for promoting the existing project results and strengthening their exploitation. The presentation of WEMIN triggered questions and attracted further interest of people in the project actions and future implementation.

Γκρεμίζοντας τείχη – ενδυναμώνοντας γυναίκες πρόσφυγες και μετανάστριες που ζουν στην Ευρώπη!
Εκδήλωση διαβούλευσης επί των αρχικών αποτελεσμάτων του έργου WEMIN
Στις 9 Νοεμβρίου 1989, το τείχος του Βερολίνου κατεδαφίστηκε μέσα σε μια μέρα και έληξε ο διαμελισμός της γερμανικής πρωτεύουσας. Σχεδόν τριάντα χρόνια μετά, η 9η Νοεμβρίου 2018 επιλέχθηκε ως ημέρα ανάδειξης των δράσεων του έργου «WEMIN: Migrant Women Empowerment and Integration» (Ενδυνάμωση και Ενσωμάτωση Μεταναστριών), οι οποίες επίσης στοχεύουν στο να «ρίξουν» τα συμβολικά «τείχη» που εμποδίζουν την πλήρη ενσωμάτωση των γυναικών προσφύγων και μεταναστριών στις ευρωπαϊκές πόλεις και στην οικοδόμηση συνεκτικών κοινωνιών.
Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, το Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο – Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy και η Ολυμπιακή Εκπαιδευτική και Συμβουλευτική ΕΠΕ διοργάνωσαν την Παρασκευή 9 Νοεμβρίου 2018, στις εγκαταστάσεις του ΕΑΠ στην Αθήνα, εκδήλωση παρουσίασης και διαβούλευσης επί των αρχικών αποτελεσμάτων του έργου WEMIN. Στην εκδήλωση συμμετείχαν εκπρόσωποι φορέων, οργανώσεων και συλλόγων που δραστηριοποιούνται στο ευρύτερο πεδίο της μεταναστευτικής πολιτικής και των πρακτικών που σχετίζονται με αυτή, με στόχο την καταπολέμηση στερεοτύπων και διακρίσεων και την αποτελεσματική ενδυνάμωση και κοινωνική ενσωμάτωση γυναικών μεταναστριών και προσφύγων. Η εκδήλωση διαβούλευσης του έργου WEMIN διοργανώθηκε ταυτόχρονα στην Αθήνα και στο Στρασβούργο, στοχεύοντας στη μέγιστη δυνατή ευαισθητοποίηση φορέων και πολιτών.
Αρχικά παρουσιάστηκαν οι δράσεις και τα πρώτα αποτελέσματα του έργου από τον Επιστημονικό Υπεύθυνο Δρ. Αχιλλέα Καμέα, Καθηγητή ΕΑΠ και επικεφαλής της ερευνητικής ομάδας DAISSy, και την κύρια ερευνήτρια του έργου Δρ. Ασπασία Θεοδοσίου, Καθηγήτρια ΤΕΙ Ηπείρου και μέλος της DAISSy. Στη συνέχεια, η κα Πωλίνα Κοντοδιάκου από την Ολυμπιακή Εκπαιδευτική και Συμβουλευτική ΕΠΕ παρουσίασε τον «Οδηγό καλών πρακτικών ενσωμάτωσης γυναικών μεταναστριών και προσφύγων», μαζί με προτάσεις για τη μεταφορά των πρακτικών στη χώρα μας.
Το δεύτερο μέρος της εκδήλωσης περιελάμβανε τρία πάνελ που εστίασαν στα πεδία της Υγείας, Απασχόλησης και Κοινωνικής Συμμετοχής, στα οποία έλαβε χώρα διαβούλευση σχετικά με ένα ακόμη σημαντικό αποτέλεσμα του έργου, τον «Οδηγό για υπεύθυνους χάραξης πολιτικής». Η ανταλλαγή απόψεων κατά τη συζήτηση ήταν πυκνή και τα συμπεράσματα θα καταγραφούν και θα ενσωματωθούν ως παράρτημα στον Οδηγό, στοχεύοντας με αυτό τον τρόπο στην κεφαλαιοποίηση των αποτελεσμάτων. Την εκδήλωση τίμησε με την παρουσία του ο Δρ. Γιώργος Τσιμουρής, Καθηγητής Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου και Αντιπρόεδρος ΔΕ ΕΑΠ.
Το έργο WEMIN είναι διετές και χρηματοδοτείται από το Ταμείο Ασύλου, Μετανάστευσης και Ένταξης της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (AMIF). Το εταιρικό του σχήμα περιλαμβάνει φορείς από οκτώ κράτη-μέλη της Ε.Ε. (Ελλάδα, Γαλλία, Ιταλία, Ισπανία, Πορτογαλία, Ιρλανδία, Γερμανία και Σουηδία). Το έργο συντονίζεται από την Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy του ΕΑΠ. Στην Ελλάδα, οι δράσεις του έργου υλοποιούνται στην Αθήνα σε συνεργασία με τον φορέα-εταίρο του έργου Ολυμπιακή Εκπαιδευτική & Συμβουλευτική ΕΠΕ.
Οι δράσεις του έργου είναι σε πλήρη εξέλιξη, και περιλαμβάνουν εκπαιδεύσεις, συνεδρίες συμβουλευτικής, μάθηση μέσω εμπειριών και καλλιτεχνικές δραστηριότητες. Υπό αυτό το πρίσμα ενισχύουν την ομαλή ενσωμάτωση των γυναικών μεταναστριών και προσφύγων στις ευρωπαϊκές πόλεις όπου διαβιούν, δίνοντας τη δυνατότητα να διαδραματίσουν πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο και να ενεργήσουν ως πολλαπλασιαστές «ενσωμάτωσης» εντός των οικογενειών τους και του κύκλου επαφών τους. Ταυτόχρονα οι δράσεις αυτές αποτελούν ευκαιρίες για να τονωθούν ο διάλογος, οι διαπολιτισμικές σχέσεις και οι ανταλλαγές. Παράλληλα, λειτουργεί ηλεκτρονική πλατφόρμα για την προώθηση της μάθησης και της δικτύωσης, ενισχύοντας με αυτό τον τρόπο και την ανάπτυξη ψηφιακών δεξιοτήτων των συμμετεχουσών.

Μια σοκολάτα μας ενώνει!
Αδιαμφισβήτητο είναι το γεγονός ότι η γλώσσα αποτελεί βασικό συστατικό στοιχείο επικοινωνίας, ενώ για πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες/στριες, αποτελεί καθοριστικό στοιχείο ενσωμάτωσης στην κοινωνία υποδοχής.
Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, το Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο – Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy και η Ολυμπιακή Εκπαιδευτική και Συμβουλευτική ΕΠΕ διοργάνωσαν την Πέμπτη 1 Νοεμβρίου 2018 τη δράση «Μια σοκολάτα μας ενώνει!», στο πλαίσιο του Ευρωπαϊκού έργου WEMIN: Migrant Women Empowerment and Integration. Οι δύο φορείς πρόσφεραν σοκολάτες σε γυναίκες, σε συνοικία στο κέντρο της Αθήνας, όπου η πυκνότητα μεταναστών/στριων και προσφύγων είναι υψηλή, ζητώντας τους να προφέρουν τη λέξη “σοκολάτα” στην μητρική τους γλώσσα. Η δράση ήταν επιτυχής και μάλιστα, ορισμένες από τις μετανάστριες/πρόσφυγες επέλεξαν να προσφέρουν οι ίδιες τις σοκολάτες σε άλλες γυναίκες. Η αρχική διστακτικότητα των γυναικών εξελισσόταν σε χαμόγελο και τελικά σε δράση, προσφέροντας μια σοκολάτα και ζητώντας να γράψουν πάνω σε αυτή, τη λέξη «σοκολάτα» στη μητρική τους γλώσσα.
Η δράση «Μια σοκολάτα μας ενώνει!» έδωσε την ευκαιρία σε μετανάστριες και πρόσφυγες καθώς και σε γηγενείς γυναίκες της Αθήνας να ενημερωθούν για το έργο WEMIN, με απώτερο στόχο να συμμετέχουν ενεργά στις δράσεις του, που έχουν ξεκινήσει αυτό το φθινόπωρο. Η εν λόγω δράση διοργανώθηκε σε οκτώ Ευρωπαϊκές πόλεις των χωρών που συμμετέχουν στο WEMΙN, στοχεύοντας στη μέγιστη δυνατή ευαισθητοποίηση φορέων και πολιτών.

Museums and Training: Digital Skills for the Future Museum
The AKMI Institute of Vocational Training and the DAISSy research team of the Hellenic Open University invite you to the Infoday entitled “Museums and Training: Digital Skills for the Future Museum” (in Greek) on Tuesday, 6 November 2018, hours: 16:00 – 20:00 , at the AKMI premises, in Athens. The workshop is organized within the framework of the European Mu.SA – Museum Sector Alliance, funded by the Erasmus + / Sector Skills Alliance, coordinated by the DAISSy research team and IEK Akmi participates as a partner.
The purpose of the Infoday is to present the Mu.SA project and its activities as well as the existing prospects of education and training in digital skills for museologists, cultural professionals and students, as well as their practical application.
The Infoday addresses employees, museums and cultural sites and organizations, trainers, teachers and training providers, researchers, students and graduates of relevant departments, as well as those interested in working in the field of culture.

The Linguacuisine project promotes equality of access and participation in learning, with emphasis on the development of digital and linguistic skills. By using a combined educational methodology that promotes foreign language learning, digital literacy and intercultural communication through gastronomy, it helps social inclusion and prevents the exclusion, in particular, of people without or with few digital skills, while enhancing the creation of online digital communities with a common culinary interest. Presentation of project BRIGHTS at IDIW2018
In an effort to increase digital equity awareness globally, the National Digital Inclusion Alliance and the Australian Digital Inclusion Alliance are co-organizing International Digital Inclusion Week (IDIW) for October 15-21, 2018. IDIW2018 aims to increase awareness and commitment to digital inclusion, create opportunities for national focus, promote international engagement and learning, and act as a catalyst to build an enduring coalition of national digital inclusion alliances and international efforts to create global momentum towards a fully digitally included world.
On Monday, October 15th, IDIW 2018 included an online panel discussion. The four panelists represented a variety of digital inclusion activities and came from different continents:
- USA – Munirih Jester, San Antonio Housing Authority
- Australia – Kathleen Smeaton, University of Queensland Library
- UK – Nicola Dean, Starting Point Community Learning Partnership, Stockport
- Greece – Achilles Kameas, Hellenic Open University
The panel highlighted our similarities, challenges and differences, and offered the opportunity for international information exchange. Among the topics discussed by the panelists were:
- What do you see as the barriers to an individual’s full participation on the digital world?
- What is the most powerful thing you have learned that influences how you work in a practical way?
- How do you involve community members in creating programs?
- How do you know your programs are having the desired impact?
- How have you cooperated or collaborated to improve inclusion and what makes that cooperation worthwhile?
- What do you think could be done through international collaboration that could make a difference to digital inclusion?
- Share a best practice – what has worked really well?
In the context of the last topic, Achilles Kameas presented project BRIGHTS as a good practice of developing and using digital skills (specifically, Digital Storytelling) to promote Global Citizenship Education.
The discussion was attended by more than 50 online participants, who posed interesting questions on issues related to digital inclusion. The organizers aim at sustaining this dialogue at international level by organizing more similar events in the future.
