abstract = {The population ageing trend has created an imperative need for ICT-based solutions that will support continuous care provision and help elders prolong the time they live independently in their own home environment. The ADVENT project aims at providing a comfortable, safe and secure environment to support the daily living of elders through a set of adaptive and demand-driven services. This paper presents the user and system requirements analysis results, based on which the high-level architecture of the core ADVENT system was drawn. This architecture highlights the home environment and the ambient intelligence platform, which are described in detail on a design level.},

Η εισαγωγή μοντέλων μικτής μάθησης σε Προγράμματα Σπουδών (ΠΣ) εκπαιδευτικών οργανισμών και Ιδρυμάτων Ανώτατης Εκπαίδευσης αποτελεί κυρίαρχη τάση για την παροχή Ανοικτής και Εξ Αποστάσεως Εκπαίδευσης (ΑΕξΑΕ). Σκοπός της παρούσας πιλοτικής έρευνας, αποτέλεσε η διερεύνηση της χρήσης του Learning Activity Management System (LAMS) στο πλαίσιο της εκπαιδευτικής πρακτικής του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου (ΕΑΠ). Η παρούσα εργασία παρουσιάζει τα πιλοτικά δεδομένα εμπειρικής έρευνας, περιορισμένης έκτασης, που διεξήχθη στο ΕΑΠ από την ερευνητική ομάδα σχεδίασης δραστηριοτήτων του Εργαστηρίου Εκπαιδευτικού Υλικού και Εκπαιδευτικής Μεθοδολογίας (ΕΕΥΕΜ). Για τις ανάγκες της παρούσας έρευνας, σε (1) Θεματική Ενότητα (ΘΕ) ανά Σχολή του ΕΑΠ κατά το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2012-2013, σε περιορισμένη πιλοτική βάση, σχεδιάστηκαν, αναπτύχθηκαν, εφαρμόστηκαν και αξιολογήθηκαν ακολουθίες μαθησιακών δραστηριοτήτων LAMS με τη σύμπραξη Μελών Συνεργαζόμενου Εκπαιδευτικού Προσωπικού (ΣΕΠ) του ΕΑΠ και μεθοδολογία επιλεγμένη από το ΕΕΥΕΜ. Συγκεντρώθηκαν ποσοτικά δεδομένα, σε περιορισμένο ωστόσο αριθμό δείγματος, τα οποία ανέδειξαν: α) κυρίαρχες στάσεις των φοιτητών στο ρόλο του εκπαιδευτή κατά τη διάρκεια υλοποίησης μίας διαδικτυακής δραστηριότητας στο LAMS, β) τα Εργαλεία Πληροφόρησης ως περισσότερο σημαντικά, έπειτα τα Εργαλεία Αξιολόγησης και Ανατροφοδότησης και τέλος τα Εργαλεία Συνεργασίας.

Στην εργασία αυτή παρουσιάζονται ο σχεδιασμός, η υλοποίηση και η αξιολόγηση του Θερινού Σχολείου με τίτλο guillemotleft1ο Θερινό Σχολείο Εφήβων: Train Brainguillemotright, το οποίο διεξήχθη τον Ιούλιο 2012 και απευθύνθηκε σε μαθητές Αtextquoteright τάξης Λυκείων της Αχαΐας. Το Θερινό Σχολείο guillemotleftTrain Brainguillemotright αποτελεί την πρώτη δράση στο πλαίσιο συνεργασίας μεταξύ του Εργαστηρίου Εκπαιδευτικού Υλικού και Εκπαιδευτικής Μεθοδολογίας του ΕΑΠ και της Διεύθυνσης Δευτεροβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης Αχαΐας. Κατά την διάρκεια του Θερινού Σχολείου, οι συμμετέχοντες μαθητές είχαν την ευκαιρία να εργαστούν σε ένα εκπαιδευτικό, ερευνητικό και επαγγελματικό περιβάλλον, να εμπλακούν σε βιωματικές εργαστηριακές δραστηριότητες, να λάβουν θεωρητικές γνώσεις αλλά και να αναπτύξουν οριζόντιες δεξιότητες συνεργαζόμενοι μεταξύ τους αλλά και με το ερευνητικό προσωπικό του Εργαστηρίου. Η δράση αυτή αποτελεί  μία καινοτόμο προσέγγιση του θεσμού των Θερινών Σχολείων, η διαφορετικότητα της οποίας έγκειται στο βιωματικό εργαστηριακό χαρακτήρα των δραστηριοτήτων των μαθητών και στην έμπρακτη συνεργασία μελών του ερευνητικού προσωπικού τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης με μαθητές δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης.  Από τα ευρήματα της αξιολόγησης προέκυψε ότι η εφαρμογή ενός τέτοιου μοντέλου μπορεί να αποδώσει και να υποστηρίξει τους μαθητές ώστε να μάθουν και να αποκτήσουν εμπειρίες σε ένα πλαίσιο αυτενέργειας και  ομαδικής προσπάθειας κινούμενοι σε ακαδημαϊκές κοινότητες και υποκινούμενοι από την προσωπική τους ανάγκη για μάθηση.

Η δημιουργία ενός μαθησιακού προφίλ για κάθε εκπαιδευόμενο από απόσταση, μπορεί να προβλέψει και να διευκολύνει την προσπάθειά του για επιτυχή ολοκλήρωση των σπουδών του. Στη διεθνή βιβλιογραφία καταγράφονται ποικίλα δημογραφικά και προσωπικά χαρακτηριστικά, που εντοπίζονται σε κάθε ομάδα εκπαιδευομένων από απόσταση, όσο ανομοιογενής και αν είναι. Τα χαρακτηριστικά αυτά καταγράφονται στην παρούσα εισήγηση, η οποία καταλήγει σε μία πρόταση αξιοποίησής τους από το ΕΑΠ, προκειμένου να διευκολύνει τους εκπαιδευόμενούς του στις σπουδές τους μέσα σε ένα περιβάλλον εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης. Η σχετική έρευνα αποτελεί μία αναπτυξιακή δράση του Εργαστηρίου Εκπαιδευτικού Υλικού και Εκπαιδευτικής Μεθοδολογίας (ΕΕΥΕΜ) του ΕΑΠ.

abstract = {According to the definition of a portfolio as an organised collection of materials that presents and verifies skills and knowledge acquired through experience it is of particular relevance to validating non-formal and informal learning because it allows the individual to contribute actively to the collection of evidence and also offers a mix of approaches strengthening the overall validity of the process. An eportfolio additionally offers increased capacity to accumulate data that can provide the audience with greater insights into the achievements and successes of the learner.
The eportfolio presenting in this paper is the product of the VAB (VAluing experience Beyond university) project. The VAB project aimed at proposing an eportfolio as a pedagogical tool that along with an e-training would allow University teachers to take into account any competences acquired via non-formal/formal learning outside university, in order to assess their students. The VAB project via the eportfolio developed enables teachers to value the personal, social and professional experience of their students acquired beyond the University in order to enhance their professional integration. The main issue of the VAB project was to bridge the gap between University and the labour market by proposing a pass between theoretical/practical learning and professional skills and competences required by the labour market through a pedagogical tool proposed to University teachers/trainers.This paper presents the VAB web based ePortfolio platform, basic elements of its structure, an example of its usage, the main outcomes of the evaluation procedure as well as topics for future consideration that have arisen during the project.},

Πολυάριθμες έρευνες, που έχουν πραγματοποιηθεί τα τελευταία χρόνια, αναδεικνύουν τις δυνατότητες χρήσης των οντολογιών και των τεχνολογιών βασισμένων σε οντολογίες σε εκπαιδευτικά πλαίσια. Στην παρούσα εργασία, παρουσιάζουμε μια πρωτότυπη εκπαιδευτική οντολογία πεδίου που περιγράφει τα Διαγράμματα Περιπτώσεων Χρήσης, που δημιουργήσαμε και χρησιμοποιήσαμε στο πλαίσιο μιας πειραματικής εκπαιδευτικής εφαρμογής για την διαχείριση μαθησιακών στόχων και μαθησιακών αντικειμένων σχετικών με το πεδίο αυτό. Αφού κάνουμε μια επισκόπηση της χρήσης των οντολογιών πεδίου σε εκπαιδευτικά πλαίσια, περιγράφουμε την οντολογία μας και τις δυνατότητές αξιοποίησής της στο πλαίσιο εκπαιδευτικών εφαρμογών, παραθέτοντας ενδεικτικά σενάρια χρήσης της.

Στην παρούσα εργασία προσεγγίζουμε την αειφόρο ανάπτυξη ως προς τον περιβαλλοντικό άξονα και εξετάζουμε τη συμβολή των ΤΠΕ στη guillemotleftβιωσιμότητα της γνώσηςguillemotright και στη συνειδητοποίηση, ανάπτυξη κριτικής σκέψης και υιοθέτηση νέου τρόπου ζωής από τους εκπαιδευόμενους. Για το σκοπό αυτό υλοποιήθηκε ένας αριθμός μαθησιακών δραστηριοτήτων με τη συνδυασμένη υποστήριξη των συστημάτων Moodle και LAMS και διεξήχθη μια μικρής κλίμακας εκπαιδευτική έρευνα με τη συμμετοχή διδασκόντων και μαθητών για την αξιολόγηση της εφαρμογής.

In this paper we approach the Sustainable Development from the point of view of the environment and we investigate the contribution of ICT to the "sustainability of knowledge" and the awareness, the development of critical thinking and the adoption of a new lifestyle from learners. Towards this end, a number of learning activities was implemented by using the combination of Moodle and LAMS systems. Furthermore, a small-scale educational research was conducted involving faculty and students in order to evaluate the application.

The experimental implementation is realized in collaboration with the professors of the 1rst General High School of Agios Dimitrios. Temperature sensors, humidity and illumination are placed in structures parametrically designed according to the bioclimatic conditions of the space of the school yard and have been sited in accordance with the operational needs of the complex. Students interact with plants and offer maintenance services when plants request it.

Απαραίτητη προϋπόθεση για κάτι τέτοιο είναι η υιοθέτηση ενός αποδοτικού πλαισίου οργάνωσης, περιγραφής και διαχείρισης του διαθέσιμου εκπαιδευτικού υλικού. Τα διάφορα συστήματα οργάνωσης γνώσης που έχουν αναπτυχθεί κατά καιρούς αφενός συμβάλλουν στην επίτευξη αυτού του στόχου, ωστόσο δεν αποτελούν τις ιδανικότερες λύσεις για κάθε περίπτωση. Συνεπώς, μέσα από αυτήν την εργασία επιχειρούμε να διακρίνουμε τις διαφορές ανάμεσα στις κυριότερες δομές αναπαράστασης γνώσης και να εντοπίσουμε αυτή που ανταποκρίνεται ικανοποιητικότερα στην μοντελοποίηση ενός γνωστικού πεδίου με τρόπο μηχανικά αναγνώσιμο. Σε αυτή την πρώτη προσπάθεια, εφαρμόζουμε στην πράξη το σύστημα οργάνωσης γνώσης που κρίναμε ότι υπερτερεί έναντι των υπολοίπων, ώστε να διαπιστώσουμε τη δυναμική του. Απώτερο στόχο μας αποτελεί η αξιοποίηση αυτής της τεχνικής σε όλες τις εκφάνσεις ενός προγράμματος εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης.

Ο σαφής καθορισμός των στόχων, που αναμένεται να επιτευχθούν από τους εκπαιδευόμενους μετά το πέρας συγκεκριμένης μελέτης, είναι ένα ιδιαίτερα σημαντικό κομμάτι της εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας. Τα προσδοκώμενα αποτελέσματα, εκτός του ότι αποτελούν έναν οδηγό για τον εκπαιδευόμενο όσον αφορά την πρόοδό του, μπορούν -στα πλαίσια ενός περιβάλλοντος ηλεκτρονικής μάθησης- να αποτελέσουν σημαντική πληροφορία προς αξιοποίηση από ευφυείς πράκτορες ικανούς να συνδυάσουν, να διαχειριστούν και να εξάγουν γνώση. Στην παρούσα εργασία, εξετάζεται αυτή ακριβώς η διάσταση των επιδιωκόμενων στόχων ενός προγράμματος εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης. Προτού, όμως, τα προσδοκώμενα αποτελέσματα τεθούν στη διάθεση ενός υπολογιστικού συστήματος χρειάζεται καταρχάς να αποσαφηνιστεί η έννοια και η δομή τους και κατόπιν αυτές να μοντελοποιηθούν με τρόπο που να μπορεί να γίνουν αντιληπτές και διαχειρίσιμες από μια μηχανή. Συνεπώς, μέσα από αυτή την εργασία επιχειρούμε να εντοπίσουμε και να υιοθετήσουμε έναν σαφή ορισμό για τα προσδοκώμενα αποτελέσματα, απόλυτα σύμφωνο με την εκπαιδευτική τους διάσταση αλλά και αρκετά αυστηρό και τεχνικό ώστε να μπορεί να αξιοποιηθεί από "έξυπνες" εφαρμογές ηλεκτρονικής μάθησης. Κατόπιν, προσπαθούμε να αποτυπώσουμε τη γνώση που φέρουν τα προσδοκώμενα αποτελέσματα, χρησιμοποιώντας για το σκοπό αυτό οντολογίες, οι οποίες αποτελούν αρκετά διαδεδομένες τεχνικές στο χώρο της αναπαράστασης γνώσης.

Η επιτυχία ενός προγράμματος εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης εξαρτάται σε σημαντικό βαθμό από το είδος και την ποιότητα του προσφερόμενου ψηφιακού εκπαιδευτικού υλικού. Αν, ωστόσο, αναλογιστούμε τους ταχείς ρυθμούς με τους οποίους αυξάνεται ο όγκος του διατιθέμενου εκπαιδευτικού περιεχόμενου σήμερα, όπως και τις ποικίλες παραμέτρους που επηρεάζουν την επιτυχή διαχείριση και ανάκτησή του, μπορούμε να συμπεράνουμε πόσο ζωτικής σημασίας είναι η απόδοση ενός σωστού ορισμού  για την έννοια του guillemotleftμαθησιακού αντικείμενουguillemotright, ως αυτόνομη μονάδα εκπαιδευτικού υλικού. Κατά καιρούς έχουν αποδοθεί διάφοροι ορισμοί και ερμηνείες, έχουν αναφερθεί λεπτομέρειες για τη δομή και το περιεχόμενο του μαθησιακού αντικειμένου, για τη συσχέτισή του με την εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία γενικότερα. Εντούτοις,  δεν έχει ακόμα υιοθετηθεί ένα ενιαίο πλαίσιο για το τι και πώς ακριβώς πρέπει να είναι ένα μαθησιακό αντικείμενο. Λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τα παραπάνω, μέσα από αυτή την εργασία επιχειρείται να δοθεί ένας ικανοποιητικός χαρακτηρισμός του μαθησιακού αντικειμένου, τέτοιος ώστε να ανταποκρίνεται στη λειτουργία του ως αυτόνομη μονάδα ψηφιακού εκπαιδευτικού υλικού που τίθεται στις υπηρεσίες και στους στόχους της ηλεκτρονικής μάθησης.

Η παρούσα ερευνητική εργασία παρουσιάζει ένα μοντέλο πιστοποίησης της ποιότητας ψηφιακού εκπαιδευτικού υλικού κατάλληλου για εκπαίδευση ενηλίκων με τη μέθοδο της εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης. Το προτεινόμενο μοντέλο υιοθετεί το πρότυπο ποιότητας λογισμικού ISO/IEC 9126, λαμβάνει υπόψη τις θεωρίες μάθησης ενηλίκων και βασίζεται σε δύο μοντέλα διδακτικού σχεδιασμού: το μοντέλο (κύκλος μάθησης) του Kolb και το μοντέλο των Gagne, Briggs & Wager. Αρχικά περιγράφεται η συσχέτιση των τμημάτων του εκπαιδευτικού υλικού με το μοντέλο διδακτικού σχεδιασμού των Gagne, Briggs & Wager και το μοντέλο Kolb. Ακολουθεί η περιγραφή, η ανάλυση και η κατηγοριοποίηση των κατάλληλων χαρακτηριστικών, και υπο-χαρακτηριστικών του ψηφιακού εκπαιδευτικού υλικού τα οποία συνιστούν τις διαστάσεις ποιότητας.
