The OpenDCO MOOC for Smart City Open Data is out and is supported by DAISSy-HOU Participation is free and registrations are open!

logo-openDCOThe DAISSy research group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) announces the launch of the OpenDCO Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on 19th March 2024!

This MOOC was developed in the framework of the “OpenDCO-Open Data City Officer European project, currently undergoing by DAISSy-HOU as the Greek partner, which aims at developing a professional profile focused on open data of smart cities at a European level, as well as a modular curriculum covering all the different aspects of an Open Data City Officer  job role.

The OpenDCO MOOC includes twenty (20) learning modules targeting acquisition of essential knowledge and skills in smart cities and open data, as well as the management and exploitation of open data, so as to develop innovative applications in a multitude of sectors, such as education, transport and health.

The OpenDCO MOOC starts on 19th March 2024 and is offered in four languages (EN, EL, DE and PT).

The trainees that successfully complete the OpenDCO MOOC will receive a Certification of successful completion, according to the European and national qualification frameworks and the European credit system for vocational education.

The OpenDCO is a two-year project, funded by the European framework ERASMUS+ and implemented by a consortium of five (5) partners from four (4) EU member-states (Greece, Portugal, Cyprus and Germany), with the DAISSy Research Group of the HOU, being the Greek partner.
