The DAISSy Research Group of HOU presented the project Advanced Media Literacy Education to counter online hate-speech at the event European Curricula: Challenge and Innovation in Education”
The DAISSy Reserach Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU), the Greek patner, presented the european project Advanced Media Literacy Education to counter online hate-speech (AmeLiE) at the national Conference entitled “European Curricula: Challenge and Innovation in Education”. The event was co-organized by the Regional Directorate of Education of Western Greece in collaboration with the Hellenic Open University and, due to COVID-19 restrictions, took place online on Friday, June 4, 2021.
The Conference targeted to promote the Erasmus+ projects’ results, the practices already developed and share ideas for upcoming opportunities. Αttendees exceeded 100, representing policy making, scinetific guidance and educational administration as well as teachers and students (over 60) of schools of primary, secondary and vocational education active or interested in the Erasmus+ program. Following a series of presentations, AMeLiE has been presented at the last part of the event as a European project nearing its 1st year and having completed the important stage of national research.
The presentation denoted the importance to address the online hate speech phenomenon and highlighted the main aim of AMeLiE, i.e. to train school communities on how to deal with online hate speech using social networking ICT tools with peer learning and crowdsourcing techniques. Participants were also introduced to project’s partnership, funding, structure, target groups, benefits for the educational community and other main elements that were analyzed.
AMeLiE presentation received a most positive feedback from both the participants as well as the event’s facilitators. Worth noting that material from the AMeLiE presentation is uploaded on the Regional Directorate of Education of Western Greece official webpage.
Διαδικτυακή εκδήλωση για το έργο S.I.L.V.HER από την ερευνητική ομάδα DAISSy του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου
Τη Δευτέρα 14 Ιουνίου 2021, η ερευνητική ομάδα DAISSy του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου διοργάνωσε την Ελληνική διαδικτυακή εκδήλωση διάχυσης των αποτελεσμάτων του Ευρωπαϊκού έργου S.I.L.V.HER, με τίτλο “Αξιοποίηση και ανάδειξη της Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς”.
Ο Διευθυντής της DAISSy και Καθηγητής της ΣΘΕΤ του ΕΑΠ, κ. Αχιλλέας Καμέας, άνοιξε την εκδήλωση με έναν σύντομο χαιρετισμό και στη συνέχεια παρουσίασε τις ερευνητικές δράσεις και τα έργα που υλοποιεί η ομάδα DAISSy, τα οποία σχετίζονται με την ανάδειξη της Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς.
Στη συνέχεια, παρουσιάστηκαν τα αποτελέσματά του έργου S.I.L.V.HER – Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Values and Heritage από την κ. Βίκυ Μαράτου, ερευνήτρια και διαχειρίστρια του έργου εκ μέρους της ομάδας DAISSy. Συγκεκριμένα, παρουσιάστηκε το μάθημα μικτής εκπαίδευσης και το MOOC, που αναπτύχθηκαν στο πλαίσιο του έργου, καθώς και κάποιες ιδέες των συμμετεχόντων φοιτητών για έργα αξιοποίησης και ανάδειξης της τοπικής πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς.
Η εκδήλωση συνεχίστηκε με δύο πολύ ενδιαφέρουσες ομιλίες σχετικά με την προώθηση της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς μέσω ιστοριών.
Η κ. Άρτεμις Σταματέλου, Στέλεχος Δημοσίων Σχέσεων στο Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο στη Γενική Διεύθυνση Μετάφρασης, παρουσίασε τη δομή και τους στόχους της Διεύθυνσης Γλώσσας των Πολιτών και κατόπιν την ανοικτή πλατφόρμα “My House of European History”, που περιέχει μια ψηφιακή συλλογή γραπτών προσωπικών ιστοριών, αναμνήσεων και μαρτυριών για οποιοδήποτε θέμα, όπως τις αφηγούνται άνθρωποι από όλον τον κόσμο. Πρόκειται για ένα συνεργατικό και πολύγλωσσο έργο που παραμένει ενεργό, ένα μωσαϊκό ιστοριών που σχετίζονται με την Ευρώπη και συνεισφέρουν στην κατανόηση του παρελθόντος αλλά και του παρόντος. Η πλατφόρμα είναι διαθέσιμη για όλους όσοι θέλουν να μοιραστούν μια προσωπική ιστορία που αφορά στην Ευρώπη.
Στη συνέχεια, η κ. Μαρία Αϊβαλιώτη, Tour script editor στην εταιρία Clio Muse Tours, παρουσίασε το Ευρωπαϊκό έργο RePAST, εστιάζοντας στο προϊόν και success story του έργου: “Σκοτεινές” σελίδες της ιστορίας σε ακουστική ξενάγηση. Η πρόκληση του πώς μπορεί κάποιος, με σύγχρονο τρόπο, να ανακαλύψει και να μάθει το παρελθόν, και κυρίως τις σκοτεινές πτυχές του, αντιμετωπίστηκε μέσω της δημιουργίας οκτώ θεματικών ακουστικών ξεναγήσεων που αφορούν σε μελανές σελίδες της σύγχρονης ιστορίας, προερχόμενες από την κάθε συμμετέχουσα χώρα στο έργο. Η εταιρία Clio Muse Tours δημιουργεί θεματικές ψηφιακές ακουστικές ξεναγήσεις για χώρους πολιτισμού στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Οι ξεναγήσεις αυτές είναι διαθέσιμες στον ιστότοπο της εταιρίας.
Η εκδήλωση συνεχίστηκε με παρουσιάσεις Ευρωπαϊκών έργων τα οποία υλοποιεί η ομάδα DAISSy. Η κ. Παναγιώτα Πολυμεροπούλου, Ερευνήτρια στην ομάδα DAISSy, παρουσίασε το Μαζικό Ανοικτό Διαδικτυακό Μάθημα (MOOC) του έργου EUHeritage, καθώς και το διαδικτυακό μάθημα του έργου DELTA.
To έργο EUHeritage στοχεύει στη δημιουργία ενός διακρατικού προγράμματος σπουδών για επαγγελματίες της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς, εστιάζοντας κυρίως σε δεξιότητες ψηφιακές, εγκάρσιες και κοινωνικές, άμεσα συνδεόμενες με τον πολιτιστικό τουρισμό. Το νέο διαδικτυακό μάθημα θα ανοίξει τη Δευτέρα 21η Ιουνίου 2021 και θα προσφερθεί από την πλατφόρμα EUHeritage την οποία σχεδίασε και ανέπτυξε η ερευνητική ομάδας DAISSy – ΕΑΠ.
Το έργο DELTA ανέπτυξε ένα μάθημα μικτής μάθησης για φοιτητές Αρχαιολογίας, με στόχο τον εμπλουτισμό των δεξιοτήτων και των γνώσεων τους σε θέματα όπως τα ψηφιακά εργαλεία στην ανασκαφή, η τεκμηρίωση στο πεδίο, η ψηφιακή διατήρηση των μνημείων και η πειραματική Αρχαιολογία. To Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο είναι ο συντονιστής του project DELTA. To DELTA course με τίτλο «Digital Excavation» είναι σε εξέλιξη και προσφέρεται από την πλατφόρμα DELTA, την οποία σχεδίασε και ανέπτυξε η ερευνητική ομάδας DAISSy – ΕΑΠ.
Το έργο NICHE, που φιλοδοξεί να χαρτογραφήσει τις ανάγκες εκπαίδευσης, και στη συνέχεια να εκπαιδεύσει άτομα που εμπλέκονται με την άυλη πολιτιστική κληρονομιά της χώρας τους, παρουσιάστηκε από τον κ. Ρίζο Χαλιαμπάλια, Ερευνητή στην ομάδα DAISSy.
Η εκδήλωση ολοκληρώθηκε με την παρουσίαση του έργου ROMAN ROUTES από την κ. Χαρά Κόκκινου, Ερευνήτρια στην ομάδα DAISSy. Το έργο ROMAN ROUTES αφορά στις ιδιαίτερες δυνατότητες για επιχειρηματικότητα συνυφασμένη με την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά, που προσφέρει το δίκτυο των αρχαίων Ρωμαϊκών οδών. Στο πλαίσιο του έργου, αναπτύχθηκαν δέκα σύντομα μαθήματα για την πολιτιστική επιχειρηματικότητα, τα οποία διατίθενται δωρεάν, και χωρίς εγγραφή, στην πλατφόρμα του έργου.

The DAISSy Research Group of HOU presented the project Creative Audiovisual Lab for the promotion of critical thinking and media literacy at the event “VOCATIONAL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS go Erasmus+: Benefits for teachers and students II”
The DAISSy Reserach Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) presented the european project Creative Audiovisual Lab for the promotion of critical thinking and media literacy (CrAL) at the multiplier event entitled “VOCATIONAL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS go Erasmus+: Benefits for teachers and students II”. The event was co-organized by the Regional Centers for Educational Planning (PEKES) of Western Greece, Thessaly, Ipeiros and the 2nd PEKES of Attica. It took place online on the 10th June 2021 attracting more than 80 representatives of educational and policy making sectors in Greece.
Following a series of presentations on projects’ benefits for teachers, students and the educational community, CrAL has been presented at the final part of the event as a newly initiated European project. Its main aim, i.e. to enhance the digital skills, creativity, critical thinking and media literacy of both teachers and students via audiovisual creative writing and reading, as well as the project’s partnership, funding, structure, target groups, benefits for the educational community and all other main elements have been analyzed.
CrAL’s presentation aroused the interest and received a really positive feedback from both the participants as well as the event’s facilitators. A number of teachers’ and key stakeholders expressed their interest to learn more about the trainings that will follow within the project’s context.
DAISSy, the Greek partner of CrAL, will contibute to all project outputs; implement all actions in Greece, and is leading the project’s Quality Assurance actions as well as the Platform’s developmet.

Το έργο SILVHER – Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Values and Heritage, στοχεύοντας να εφοδιάσει τους φοιτητές με γνώσεις και εργαλεία προκειμένου να σχεδιάσουν και να προωθήσουν έργα για την αξιοποίηση και ανάδειξη της τοπικής Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς, έχει αναπτύξει ένα μάθημα μικτής εκπαίδευσης αποτελούμενο από τρεις Ενότητες:

Η Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy του ΕΑΠ συμμετέχει στο Ευρωπαϊκό έργο “Open Lab for the up-skilling of higher educational staff in on-line Μanagement Εducation (OLMedu)’’
Η ερευνητική ομάδα DAISSy του ΕΑΠ συμμετέχει στο Ευρωπαϊκό έργο «Open Lab for the up-skilling of higher educational staff in on-line Μanagement Εducation (OLMedu)» το οποίο χρηματοδοτείται από το πρόγραμμα Erasmus+ Key Αction: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices και Action Type: Partnerships for Digital Education Readiness, και τονίζει την προσοχή στην ψηφιοποιήση της τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης. Το έργο διαρκεί από την 1η Μαρτίου 2021 έως την 28η Φεβρουαρίου 2023.
Συντονιστής φορέας του έργου είναι το Frederick University (Κύπρος) και εταίροι: Τμήμα Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών (Ελλάδα), Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata (Ιταλία), DAISSy Research Group του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου (Ελλάδα) και GrantXpert Consulting (Κύπρος). Το έργο στοχεύει στη δημιουργία ενός ανοιχτού εργαστηρίου, το οποίο περιλαμβάνει μαθησιακό περιεχόμενο, εκπαιδευτικό υλικό, εργαλεία ΤΠΕ και μια ψηφιακή πλατφόρμα που τα ενσωματώνει, για την αναβάθμιση του προσωπικού της τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης στην ηλεκτρονική διαχείριση της εκπαίδευσης.
Οι επιμέρους στόχοι του έργου είναι:
- Να παρέχει στο εκπαιδευτικό προσωπικό της τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης τις κατάλληλες γνώσεις, δεξιότητες και ικανότητες που απαιτούνται για τη διευκόλυνση της εξ αποστάσεως εκπαίδευσης χρησιμοποιώντας τεχνολογίες και εργαλεία εκπαίδευσης
- Να καλλιεργήσει την ικανότητά τους να ενσωματώνουν τις κατάλληλες παιδαγωγικές, στο διαδικτυακό περιβάλλον, να σχηματίζουν τη διαδικασία διδασκαλίας-μάθησης χρησιμοποιώντας διαδικτυακές μεθοδολογίες, προσαρμοσμένες στο εκπαιδευτικό πλαίσιο της διαχείρισης της εκπαίδευσης
- Να δημιουργήσει εκπαιδευτικές δραστηριότητες και εκπαιδευτικό υλικό που θα χρησιμοποιήσει το εκπαιδευτικό προσωπικό για να δημιουργήσει αποτελεσματικά θετικά μαθησιακά περιβάλλοντα για τους μαθητές τους, να τους εκπαιδεύσει να συνεργαστεί, να πάρει αποφάσεις, να λύσει προβλήματα και να τα ενσωματώσει σε στρατηγικά σενάρια
- Να αναπτύξει την ικανότητα του εκπαιδευτικού προσωπικού της τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης να δημιουργήσει διαδικτυακές προσομοιώσεις και να τις ενσωματώσει στην πρακτική της κατάρτισης χρησιμοποιώντας ένα φιλικό προς το χρήστη εργαλείο
- Να δημιουργήσει ένα αποθετήριο ανοιχτής πρόσβασης και μια διαδικτυακή κοινότητα πρακτικών για την ανάπτυξη διαδικτυακών δεξιοτήτων και δεξιοτήτων παράδοσης της εκπαίδευσης για το εκπαιδευτικό προσωπικό της τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης
Τα αναμενόμενα αποτελέσματα του έργου είναι πολυδιάστατα για τους συμμετέχοντες οργανισμούς, το εκπαιδευτικό προσωπικό της τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης και για τα ενδιαφερόμενα μέρη της τριτοβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης (Πανεπιστήμια, φορείς χάραξης πολιτικής κ.λπ.)
The DAISSy Research Group of HOU succesfuly organised the Final multiplier event of the CrowdDreaming project in Greece
The DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU), succesfuly organised the multiplier event entitled “Enhancing teachers’ digital skills and creativity”, in the context of the Erasmus+ project “CrowdDreaming – Youth co-create digital culture”. The event took place online, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, on the 14th April 2021. More than 50 representatives of educational, cultural and policy making sectors in Greece participated in the event which was organised by the Greek project partner.
Professor Achilles Kameas, Director of the DAISSy Research Group and Scientific Coordinator of the CrowdDreaming in Greece, opened the event with a short greeting, briefly presenting the objectives and an overview of the results of the project as well as an overview of the activities and European cofunded projects of DAISSy while emphasizing on the ones relevent to the enhancement of digital skills and creativity, and addressed the importance of supporting the educational community.
Following, Ms. Elena Sarli, Promoter of European Programmes at the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Western Greece, presented the active role of the Regional Directorate in terms of information, dissemination and promotion for all European projects, like CrowdDreaming, that aim to innovative educational practices, and highlighted the importance of CrowdDreaming for the educational community and for the promotion of digital cultural heritage among them.
The scope, the methodology and the impact of the project were presented by Ms. Eleni Georgakakou, Project Manager of CrowdDreaming on behalf of DAISSy in Greece. Ms Georgakakou highlighted that the project applied the good Italian practice of the “Art of CrowdDreaming” with aim to encourage young people to reflect and valorize their own cultural heritage and develop digital thanksgiving scenes to acknowledge another nation’s contribution to the European culture. She also noted that in Greece, 21 teachers, together with their students, were enthusiasticly involved in all piloting phases of the project, despite the restrictive measures and unforseen challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They researched the cultural contributions of other European nations to the Greek cultural heritage, learned about new digital tools and created digital scenes for the the virtual monument Europa Square.
Two participant teachers, Ms. Zeta Tsiga and Ms. Niki Efstathopoulou, shared their overall experience from the project, the workshops with their students as well as the story behind the digital scenes they created. How did this project affect them and their students? They realised that digital media can promote values and concepts such as multiculturalism, inclusion, critical thinking, co-creation, sustainable preservation of cultural heritage. Above all, a group of people together as a Connective Mind, can Dreamscape the Future, and thus create History.
At the last part of the event, two very interesting presentations of relevant European projects targeting the educational community with an aim, like CrowdDreaming, to enhance their digital skills and/ or creativity took place. Professor Achilles Kameas presented the project “STEAMonEDU”, which aims to the up-skilling of STE(A)M educators through online tools and a very active community of practice, and Ms. Katerina Nikolakopoulou, Coordinator of Educational Activities in the Regional Centre for Educational Planning of Western Greece, presented the project “Creative Audiovisual Lab for the promotion of critical thinking and media literacy-CrAL”, which exploits audiovisual creative writing and reading towards the promotion of students’ critical thinking and media literacy.
The event closed with a short “thanksgiving” session by the event Moderator and CrowdDreaming project Manager in Greece, Ms. Georgakakou, addressed to all partners, tutors, teachers and students for their great work and cooperation, and to the participants of the event.
Ημερίδα Διάχυσης Αποτελεσμάτων “Ευρωπαϊκά Προγράμματα Σπουδών: Πρόκληση και Καινοτομία για την εκπαίδευση”
Η Περιφερειακή Διεύθυνση Εκπαίδευσης Δυτικής Ελλάδας σε συνεργασία με το Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο – Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy διοργανώνουν Ημερίδα Διάχυσης Αποτελεσμάτων εγκεκριμένων σχεδίων του Ευρωπαϊκού Προγράμματος Erasmus+ τα οποία υλοποιήθηκαν σε σχολικές μονάδες της ΠΔΕ Δυτικής Ελλάδας κατά το σχολικό έτος 2020-2021. Η Ημερίδα θα υλοποιηθεί την Παρασκευή 4 Ιουνίου 2021 στις 8:45-13:00 και έχει ως θέμα: “Ευρωπαϊκά Προγράμματα Σπουδών: Πρόκληση και Καινοτομία για την εκπαίδευση”.
Η Ημερίδα, η οποία θα πραγματοποιηθεί διαδικτυακά στον σύνδεσμο, απευθύνεται σε:
- εκπαιδευτικούς και μαθητές/τριες, οι οποίοι/ες διαρκούσης της πανδημίας συμμετείχαν στην υλοποίηση online/δια ζώσης εκπαιδευτικών δραστηριοτήτων στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος Erasmus+ και θα μοιραστούν την εμπειρία τους.
- εκπαιδευτικούς, τμήματα τάξεων μαθητών/τριών, γονείς και καθέναν/καθεμία που ενδιαφέρεται να παρακολουθήσει τις εμπειρίες, τα αποτελέσματα, τις προτάσεις των εισηγητών/τριών της Ημερίδας έτσι ώστε να υπάρξει ένας ουσιαστικός, γόνιμος και εποικοδομητικός διάλογος.
