Την Τρίτη, 29 Σεπτεμβρίου 2020, από τις 11:00’ έως τις 13:40’, η Ερευνητική ομάδα DAISSy του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου (ΕΑΠ) πραγματοποίησε με επιτυχία την τρίτη διαδικτυακή Συνάντηση Εργασίας ενδιαφερομένων, στο πλαίσιο του έργου «MILE – Migrants Integration in the Labour Market in Europe».

Ο χαιρετισμός και η έναρξη της συνάντησης έλαβαν χώρα από τον κ. Αχιλλέα Καμέα, Καθηγητή & Διευθυντή της Ερευνητικής ομάδας DAISSy του ΕΑΠ και ο συντονισμός της συζήτησης πραγματοποιήθηκε από την κ. Ελένη Γεωργακάκου, Διαχειρίστρια Έργων και Ερευνήτρια της ομάδας DAISSy. Ένας σημαντικός αριθμός, άνω των 25 οργανισμών, συμμετείχε στη συνάντηση. Οι ομιλητές και οι συμμετέχοντες φορείς προέρχονταν από διάφορους τομείς, συμπεριλαμβανομένων Κυβερνητικών Υπηρεσιών, Μη κυβερνητικών Οργανώσεων (ΜΚΟ), Ερευνητικών Κέντρων και Πανεπιστημίων, Ενώσεων Εργοδοτών, κ.λπ.

Οι κύριοι άξονες της συζήτησης αναπτύχθηκαν γύρω από τις τρεις (3) βασικές θεματικές του έργου MILE, συγκεκριμένα τις ακόλουθες:

• Μέθοδοι κατάρτισης και εργαλεία για την ένταξη των μεταναστών στην αγορά εργασίας
• Κοινωνική και ατομική υποστήριξη για τη συμμετοχή και τη συνεχή ενίσχυση των Πολιτών Τρίτων Χωρών κατά την είσοδο στην αγορά εργασίας
• Ανάγκες εργοδοτών και στρατηγικές μακροπρόθεσμης υποστήριξης

Με το πέρας των παρουσιάσεων, ακολούθησε μια σειρά ερωτήσεων και η συνάντηση ολοκληρώθηκε με έναν ενεργό διάλογο μεταξύ των ομιλητών-ομιλητριών και άλλων παρευρισκομένων, εστιάζοντας ιδιαίτερα στις δυσκολίες της παρούσας περιόδου, καθώς και τη σημασία του συντονισμού των δράσεων μεταξύ οργανισμών, όπως το παράδειγμα των περιοδικών συναντήσεων/ συζητήσεων που λαμβάνουν χώρα στο πλαίσιο του έργου MILE.

Εξαιτίας του μεγάλου ενδιαφέροντος, ο αρχικός προγραμματισμός της συνάντησης, έπρεπε για ακόμα μία φορά να επεκταθεί και αντί για τις 11:00’ – 13:00’, η συνάντηση τελικά ολοκληρώθηκε στη 13:40’. Η επόμενη, αντίστοιχη συνάντηση προγραμματίζεται για το τέλος Νοεμβρίου 2020, πάντα υπό τον συντονισμό της DAISSy / ΕΑΠ.

On Tuesday, September 29, 2020, from 11:00’ to 13:40’, DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) successfully held the III Multistakeholder Working Group online meeting in the framework of the project “MILE – Migrants Integration in the Labour Market in Europe”.

The meeting was facilitated by Eleni Georgakakou, Project Manager and Researcher of DAISSy, and the main axes of discussion evolved around the three (3) MILE Multistakeholder WG main themes, specifically:

• Training methods and tools for integrating immigrants into the labor market
• Social and individual support for the involvement and continuous assistance of immigrants upon entering the labor market
• Needs of employers and long-term support strategies.

A significant number of more than 25 organizations attended the meeting from various sectors, including Governmental Agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Research Centers, Universities, Employers’ Association, etc.

The original agenda had once again to be expanded and instead of 11:00’ – 13:00’, the meeting was afterall finalized at 13:40’. In the framework of MILE – Migrants Integration in the Labor Market in Europe project, DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) actively participates in the meetings of the national Education Sector Working Group (ESWG) organized and hosted by Greece I UNICEF with the participation of a large number of interested Bodies that are actively involved in Migration specific actions.

Target of the ESWG is to inform and coordinate participants on the relevant issues at the national level. Specifically, main objectives of the ESWG are the coordination of the actions of Bodies dealing with issues of Formal, Non-Formal and Informal Education concerning Migrants in Greece, and the dissemination of relevant information.

The ESWG meetings that used to take place on a periodic basis (per week or per two weeks), since the beginning of the COVID 19 crisis turned online in an effort to cope with the multiple implications caused at this period. From March 16 till this day, more than 15 ESWG meetings have taken place online. DAISSy Research Group has participated in the total of the meetings in an effort to be constantly updated about the situation in Greece as well as in order to promote all MILE relevant actions.

DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) releases an Open Call for expression of interest in the framework of MILE project. The Call concerns the provision of a customized training and job support program, it targets immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers in Attica and it includes:

a. skills assessment process, including the EU Skills Profile Tool for third-country nationals

b. consulting support for the development of soft skills such as:

• Communication
• Teamwork
• IT
• tackling discrimination
• national labor market and employment legislation in Greece, etc.

c. technical training for participants that will be matched with the labor market needs

The Registration form will remain open until the entry places are filled. The aim of the total interventions in Greece  is to offer guidance and training services to 120 immigrants and refugees in order to make them employable. In addition, a subsidy is provided for the employment of a total of 30 immigrants and refugees for one month.

The MILE project is co-funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) of the European Union, and it aims to develop, implement and make wider use of an effective model for the integration of migrants and refugees into the labor market, based on the cooperation of many stakeholders. MILE actions are developed based on the needs of both employers and immigrants.

On Friday, June 26, 2020, from 11:00’ to 14:15’, DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU) successfully held the II Multistakeholder Working Group online meeting in the framework of the project “MILE – Migrants Integration in the Labour Market in Europe”.

A significant number of organizations attended the meeting from various sectors, including Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Research Centers, Universities, Employers’ Associations, Municipalities, etc. Speakers to the meeting have been representatives from the following bodies: UNHCR – The UN Refugee Agency, National Center for Social Research (EKKE), UNICEF Greece, METAdrasi, International Organization for Migration (IOM) Office in Greece, Jobcenter of the Municipality of Athens, IME GSEVEE: Small Enterprises’ Institute of of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen and Merchants (Greece).

At the beginning of the meeting, the objectives and the specific purpose of the project “MILE” and of the Multistakeholder Working Groups taking place in its framework were presented. Specifically, its significance and direct relationship with the axes of employment and integration – social participation were underlined. Following, the participants made their presentations and interventions covering topics such as: current employer needs, refugee / migrant educational needs and challenges / problems / opportunities during the period before and after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The discussion evolved around the three (3) MILE Multistakeholder Working Group main themes, specifically:

• Training methods and tools for integrating immigrants into the labor market
• Social and individual support for the involvement and continuous assistance of immigrants upon entering the labor market
• Needs of employers and long-term support strategies

The presentations were followed by the introduction from DAISSy/ HOU of MILE planned next activities for Greece, including the soft and technical skills training, which rose the interest of the participants for further collaborations in its framework.  Furthermore, the MILE “DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE: CHALLENGES AND BENEFITS OF THE INCLUSION OF THIRD-COUNTRY NATIONALS” Handbook for employers had been also presented.

The meeting was concluded with further discussion of the speakers and other attendees. An attempt was made to record future moves and practices, and the significance of keep having MILE Multistakeholder WG meetings on a permanent basis has been agreed by all participants. The original agenda had to be expanded and instead of 11:00’ – 13:00’, the meeting was afterall finalized at 14:15’ with the active involvement of all participants.

Την Παρασκευή 26 Ιουνίου 2020 από τις 11.00’ μέχρι τις 14.15’ η Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου (ΕΑΠ) πραγματοποίησε με επιτυχία διαδικτυακή συνάντηση (II Multistakeholder Working Group) στο πλαίσιο του έργου «MILE – Migrants Integration in the Labour Market in Europe».

Στη συνάντηση συμμετείχε ένας σημαντικός αριθμός φορέων από διάφορους τομείς, όπως: Μη Κυβερνητικές Οργανώσεις (ΜΚΟ), Ερευνητικά Κέντρα, Πανεπιστήμια, Ενώσεις Εργοδοτών, Δήμοι, κ.ά. Στους ομιλητές συμπεριλαμβάνονταν εκπρόσωποι από τους κάτωθι φορείς: UNHCR – The UN Refugee Agency, Εθνικό Κέντρο Κοινωνικών Ερευνών (ΕΚΚΕ), UNICEF Greece, ΜETAδραση, International Organization for Migration (IOM) Office in Greece, Jobcenter του Δ. Αθηναίων, ΙΜΕ ΓΣΕΒΕΕ: Ινστιτούτο Μικρών Επιχειρήσεων της ΓΣΕΒΕΕ.

Κατά την έναρξη της συνάντησης πραγματοποιήθηκε παρουσίαση των στόχων και του ειδικότερου σκοπού του έργου «MILE» καθώς και υπογραμμίστηκε η σημαντική και άμεση σχέση του με άξονες της απασχόλησης και της ένταξης – κοινωνικής συμμετοχής. Εν συνεχεία, οι συμμετέχοντες φορείς παρουσίασαν τις εισηγήσεις και τις παρεμβάσεις τους καλύπτοντας θέματα όπως: τρέχουσες ανάγκες εργοδοτών, εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες προσφύγων/ μεταναστών και προκλήσεις/ προβλήματα/ ευκαιρίες κατά την περίοδο  πριν και μετά την πανδημία Covid-19.

Η συζήτηση κινήθηκε γύρω από τρεις (3) βασικούς θεματικούς άξονες:

• Μέθοδοι και εργαλεία εκπαίδευση για την ενσωμάτωση των μεταναστών στην αγορά εργασίας
• Κοινωνική και ατομική υποστήριξη για την εμπλοκή και συνεχή υποβοήθηση μεταναστών κατά την είσοδό τους στην αγορά εργασίας
• Ανάγκες εργοδοτών και μακροχρόνιες στρατηγικές υποστήριξης.

Η συνάντηση ολοκληρώθηκε με συζήτηση των εισηγητών και των λοιπών παρευρισκομένων. Έγινε προσπάθεια καταγραφής μελλοντικών κινήσεων και πρακτικών και συμφωνήθηκε τα συμπεράσματα της συζήτησης να αποτελέσουν τη βάση για το σχηματισμό μονίμων ομάδων εργασίας (Working Groups).

Το έργο MILE συνδυάζει έρευνα για τις ανάγκες των εργοδοτών, δικτύωση μέσω λειτουργίας ομάδων εργασίας τοπικών φορέων για την ανταλλαγή εμπειριών, δράσεις κατάρτισης, συμβουλευτικής και καθοδήγησης των μεταναστών-στριών για την ανάπτυξη επιχειρηματικών σχεδίων, εκστρατεία ενημέρωσης με έμφαση σε θέματα ενσωμάτωσης των ΥΤΧ στην αγορά εργασίας και το πλεονέκτημα της διαφορετικότητας.

Το MILE είναι διετές, χρηματοδοτείται από το Ταμείο Ασύλου, Μετανάστευσης και Ένταξης της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (AMIF-2017-AG-INTE, συμφωνητικό επιχορήγησης αρ.821725), περιλαμβάνει οκταμελές διακρατικό εταιρικό σχήμα σε τέσσερα κράτη-μέλη Ε.Ε. (Ιταλία, Ελλάδα,Ισπανία, Αυστρία) με Συντονιστή το ICEI International Economic Cooperation Institute (ΙΤ) και στην Ελλάδα υλοποιείται στην Αττική-Αθήνα από το Ελληνικό Ανοιχτό Πανεπιστήμιο – Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy (εταίρος) καθώς και στην Ηλεία από την Ολυμπιακή Εκπαιδευτική & Συμβουλευτική ΕΠΕ (εταίρος).

Με την ολοκλήρωση της έρευνας αποτύπωσης των αναγκών των εργοδοτών και έχοντας πλέον δημιουργήσει διαύλους τακτικής επικοινωνίας με ενδιαφερόμενα μέρη για την εργασιακή ενσωμάτωση των μεταναστών και προσφύγων, η Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου (ΕΑΠ) σε συνεργασία με την Ολυμπιακή Εκπαιδευτική προχωρούν στο επόμενο στάδιο του έργου MILE που αφορά στην παροχή ενός προσαρμοσμένου προγράμματος κατάρτισης και υποστήριξης εργασίας για μετανάστες, πρόσφυγες και αιτούντες άσυλο. Οι πρώτες ομάδες από την Ηλεία συμμετέχουν ήδη στη διαδικασία αξιολόγησης δεξιοτήτων (συμπεριλαμβανομένου του εργαλείου προφίλ δεξιοτήτων της ΕΕ για υπηκόους τρίτων χωρών). Θα ακολουθήσει η συμβουλευτική υποστήριξή τους για την ανάπτυξη μαλακών δεξιοτήτων όπως:

• επικοινωνία
• ομαδική εργασίαπληροφορική
• καταπολέμηση των διακρίσεων
• τοπική αγορά εργασίας και νομοθεσία για την απασχόληση στην Ελλάδα, κλπ.

Το ΕΑΠ – Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy διογανώνει εκδήλωση διαβούλευσης σχετικά με τα αρχικά αποτελέσματα του έργου MILE, η οποία θα πραγματοποιηθεί τη  Δευτέρα 15 Ιουλίου 2019, 16.00 μ.μ.-19:00 μ.μ., στις εγκαταστάσεις του ΕΑΠ, Αθήνα (οδός Γραβιάς 4-6, 1ος όροφος, αίθουσα εκδηλώσεων). Η εκδήλωση θα περιλαμβάνει παρουσίαση των στόχων και ειδικότερου περιεχομένου του έργου MILE, καθώς και συζήτηση με τους εκπροσώπους φορέων σχετικά με τους άξονες της απασχόλησης και κοινωνικής συμμετοχής των Υπηκόων Τρίτων Χωρών (ΥΤΧ) στις κοινωνίες υποδοχής.
