Press Release of UPDATE project

The DAISSy research group of the Hellenic Open University participates in the activities of the new project entitled “UPDATE- User-friendly Practical Distance Active Training Experience”, which is co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme 2021-2027.

The general objective of UPDATE project (with a duration of 24 months) is to improve the quality of vocational training delivered by VET organisations – in view of increasing the learning opportunities, inclusion and training success of learners, as well as their employability – reinforcing the trainers and tutors’ abilities to implement forms of blended and distance didactic and apply the new technologies to the training activities of high practical and manual content (specific feature of vocational training).

On March 10th and 11th2022, the kick-off meeting of the UPDATE project was delivered with physical presence of the partners in Copenhagen, hosted by VIRSABI from Denmark, while ENAIP from Italy is the Coordinator of the project. The first project meeting was dedicated to an overview on the UPDATE project, the proposal submitted and previous agreements among partners. The project meeting was dedicated to networking, project management, administrative, financial aspects, quality evaluation, and reporting obligations of all partners. It was a great help for the partners in order to properly understand the deliverables of the project, such as Research-Desk Analysis on good practices, Blended Course and Plan for the Integration of new Technologies in Teaching Activities. In addition, the meeting clearly defined the work plan and tasks to be implemented by each partner.

Through the project, each partner, in view of a continuous improvement, will be able to integrate the didactic practices in use and redefine their training model, innovating, at the same time, work processes and contents. Finally, the project partners foresee to contribute to the modernisation process of the VET system and to the improvement of the quality of the training offer at large.

Press Release of WINBIZ project.

logo-winbizThe DAISSy research group of the Hellenic Open University participates in the activities of the new project entitled “WINBIZ—Women’s Innovative Business Incubation Zone”, which is co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme 2021-2027.

The WINBIZ project (with a duration of 24 months) involves migrant women or women with a non-Western background, with medium-high levels of education, in a training pathway aimed at enabling the acquisition and development of personal, transversal and specific competencies and skills necessary for their full integration/ reintegration in the European labour market, thus generating well-being for themselves and for the society they live in.  The main objective of the project is to encourage the higher qualification of adult migrant women with a medium or high level of education through training and coaching, allowing them to acquire and develop personal, transversal, and entrepreneurial skills and abilities necessary for their inclusion in the labour market, promoting their empowerment and social integration, so that they can produce wealth for themselves and society. Through educational training, WINBIZ intends to promote women’s social self-entrepreneurship to generate systemic impact and contribute to the promotion of a sustainable, inclusive, and innovative civic economy model.

On February 24th and 25th, 2022, the kick-off meeting of the WINBIZ project was delivered with physical presence of the partners in Espinho Portugal, hosted by APSU from Portugal, Coordinator of the project. The first project meeting was dedicated to an overview on the WINBIZ project, the proposal submitted and previous agreements among partners. The project meeting was dedicated to networking, project management, administrative, financial aspects, quality evaluation, and reporting obligations of all partners. It was a great help for the partners in order to properly understand the deliverables of the project, such as the WINBIZ Social Report, WINBIZ Trainer Toolkit, WINBIZ Training course and WINBIZness Plans catalogue.  In addition, the meeting clearly defined the work plan and tasks to be implemented by each partner.

The results of WINBIZ have been designed to produce relevant outcomes in terms of direct and indirect impacts, as far as innovation is produced and the exchange of know-how between the involved organisations active in the education and training sector is promoted, and the social inclusion/empowerment of women and migrants is achieved.

Press Release of DigiPath project.

logo-digipathThe DAISSy research group of the Hellenic Open University participates in the activities of the new project entitled “DigiPath – Digital Education Readiness for VET Teachers through Tool Assisted Learning Pathways”, which is co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme 2021-2027.

The DigiPath project (with a duration of 26 months) aims to build VET teachers’ Digital Education Readiness (DER), by developing an Open Education Resource (OER) in the form of a blended learning course, incorporating Learning Paths for learners with varied levels of digital readiness and skills. In a structured approach, the project team will develop modular Adaptive Curricula that will equip VET teachers with digital competencies and skills as well as familiarize them with innovative digital educational tools and approaches. The Adaptive Curricula aims to build the DER of VET teachers by improving their attitudes towards digital teaching environments and promoting their willingness to engage with digital technologies.

On February 1th, 2022, the kick-off meeting of the DigiPath project was delivered online, hosted by AFBB from Germany, Coordinator of the project.

It was a great help for the partners in order to properly understand the deliverables of the project, such as the Needs Analysis and Mapping of Relevant Content Areas, Adaptive Curricula – Development of Learning Paths for VET teachers, Implementation of Adaptive Curricula into Platform – Technical Realization and Creation of Digital Content / Learning Materials, Trialing the Adaptive Curricula – Pilots of the Blended Learning Paths and Development of Transfer Concept – The Guidelines.

DigiPath will demonstrate lightweight educational offers that can be seamlessly integrated into the daily routine of VET teachers, taking into account their specific work setting. DigiPath recognises the multiplicities of different sectors and regional or national contexts, consequently, the transferability and applicability to various contexts is a major objective of the project. To ensure all projects outputs can be (re)used in multiple contexts, an effective transfer concept (in the form of detailed guidelines) will also be developed and shared widely.

Press Release of RE-START project.

logo-restartThe DAISSy research group of the Hellenic Open University participates in the activities of the new project entitled “RE-START – Reinforcing the circular economy model for START-ups”, which is co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme 2021-2027.

The RE-START project (with a duration of 24 months) aims to support students on developing new ventures, but also to show them how to commercialize their business and innovative ideas by launching a university spin-off.  The main target group, who will participate in all activities through the project, will gain an access point to incubators, innovation centers, professional consultants and business experts. The project will encourage students to go a step further by commercializing their innovative ideas integrating Circular Economy strategies. Trainers and academics interested in entrepreneurship in general and in circular business models in particular may also strengthen their services by adopting the RE-START materials and approaches most relevant to their interests and target audience.

On January 26th, 2022, the kick-off meeting of the RE-START project was delivered online, hosted by GrantXpert from Cyprus, Coordinator of the project.  The first project meeting was dedicated to an overview on the RE-START project, the proposal submitted and previous agreements among partners. The project meeting was dedicated to networking, project management, administrative, financial aspects, quality assurance, and reporting obligations of all partners. It was a great help for the partners in order to properly understand the deliverables of the project, such as the Circular Business Plan Toolkit, E-training program, Guidebook for trainers and academics and as well as Industry Cooperations.  In addition, the meeting clearly defined the work plan and tasks to be implemented by each partner.

At the end of the project, local startups, entrepreneurs, investors and incubators will be able to explore new opportunities by collaborating with aspiring students holding a great experience of creating a circular business model, through which innovative ideas are more likely to occur and develop into profitable businesses.

DAISSy-HOU Research Group organizes event on the topic of digital culture as a means of developing students and teachers

logo-reeducoOn Friday, April 1 2022, from 18:00 to 20:00, the DAISSy research team of the Hellenic Open University, organizes the live event entitled “Digital culture as a means of developing students and teachers” to disseminate the results of the RE-EDUCO (REthinking EDUcation COmpetencies. Εxpertise, best practices and teaching in Digital Era) project. The RE-EDUCO project aims to strengthen the role of digital culture as a means to improve the growth opportunities for students and teachers, widening their choices in private and professional life, through research, exchange of good practices, training and creative activities.

The event will be held at Byzantino hotel, Riga Feraiou Street. 106, Patras. Participation is free and certificates of participation will be given.

Εκδήλωση απονομής πιστοποιητικών ειδίκευσης στο πλαίσιο του ερευνητικού έργου DevOps με την υποστήριξη της ερευνητικής ομάδας DAISSy του ΕΑΠ

devops-logoΣας προσκαλούμε στην εκδήλωση απονομής πιστοποιητικών ειδίκευσης επαγγελματιών έξυπνων πόλεων στο πλαίσιο του έργου DevOps, την Τετάρτη 16/3/2021 στις 18:00, στην οποία θα απεθύνει χαιρετισμό ο πρόεδρος του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου, καθηγητής Οδυσσέας – Ιωάννης Ζώρας.

Στο έργο “DevOps Competences for SmartCities” (αριθμός σύμβασης 601015-EPP-1-2018-1-EL-EPPKA2-SSA) συμμετείχαν 13 εταίροι (4 από Ελλάδα, 3 από Γερμανία, 3 από Ιταλία, 2 από Κύπρο και 1 από Βέλγιο), μεταξύ των οποίων και το Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο (ΕΑΠ) μέσω της ερευντικής ομάδας DAISSy. Ο βασικός του στόχος ήταν η επαγγελματική ανάπτυξη μέσω κατάλληλης επιμόρφωσης των στελεχών που εργάζονται ή θα εργαστούν σε Δήμους, οι οποίοι σταδιακά μετασχηματίζονται σε Έξυπνες Πόλεις. Για την επίτευξη του στόχου αυτόύ, προσδιορίστηκαν τρία νέα επαγγελματικά προφίλ για όσους επιθυμούν να εργαστούν σε μία έξυπνη πόλη και καθορίστηκαντις βασικότερες ικανότητες για κάθε προφίλ.

Επιπλέον, προσφέρθηκε ένα εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα που απευθυνόταν τόσο σε στελέχη Δήμων όσο και σε επαγγελματίες με ειδικότητες πληροφορικής ή σχετικές με την ανάπτυξη μιας έξυπνης πόλης, οι οποίοι επιθυμούσαν να αποκτήσουν αυτές τις ικανότητες, ώστε να εργαστούν στο μέλλον σε Δήμους ή οργανισμούς ΟΤΑ έξυπνων πόλεων. Συνολικά, το εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα ολοκληρώθηκε επιτυχώς από 94 άτομα, 68 εκ των οποίων προέρχονται από την Ελλάδα.

biblio-all-digitalΕκ μέρους του εταιρικού σχήματος του Ευρωπαϊκού έργου #DigitalBiblio, η Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy του ΕΑΠ, φορέας εταίρος στην Ελλάδα, σας προσκαλεί στο Διεθνές εργαστήριο με τίτλο “BIBLIOExchanging ideas on transforming Libraries in the digital age“, που διοργανώνεται την Τρίτη 29 Μαρτίου 2022, 14:30-16:00 (CET).

Η DAISSy-ΕΑΠ υποστηρίζει ενεργά τη διεθνή εκδήλωση που στοχεύει στην παρουσίαση των Μαθημάτων Εξειδίκευσης (Specialization Courses) του έργου.

  • Το πρώτο μέρος της εκδήλωσης εστιάζει στη σπονδυλωτή διάρθρωση του συνολικού προγράμματος σπουδών BIBLIO καθώς και στον τρόπο αξιολόγησης των υφιστάμενων ικανοτήτων και της υπάρχουσας εμπειρίας, έτσι ώστε οι εκπαιδευόμενοι να μπορούν να προσαρμόσουν τη μαθησιακή τους διαδρομή. Αναδεικνύεται η εναρμόνιση των μαθημάτων με τα ευρωπαϊκά πλαίσια DigComp και EntreComp, και αναλύεται η διαδικασία πιστοποίησης.
  • Το δεύτερο μέρος της εκδήλωσης είναι αφιερωμένο στην ανταλλαγή ιδεών μεταξύ των συμμετεχόντων για συγκεκριμένες ιδέες/εργασίες σχετικά με τον ψηφιακό μετασχηματισμό των βιβλιοθηκών. Πρόκειται για συνεδρία που θα εμπνεύσει τους συμμετέχοντες-χουσες στο Μάθημα Εξειδίκευσης BIBLIO, οι οποίοι θα ξεκινήσουν τη μαθητεία τους σε βιβλιοθήκες σε όλη την Ευρώπη κατά τη διάρκεια του καλοκαιριού.

Press Release of MICA online kick-off meeting

logo-micaThe DAISSy research group of the Hellenic Open University (http://daissy.eap.gr/en/) participates in the activities of the new project entitled “MU.SA International Community Activators – MICA”, which is co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme 2021-2027.

The small-scale MICA project (with a duration of 12 months) aims at creating a practical community of self professional education and self lifelong learning for Heritage professionals. The primary target group includes participants and partners of eCult Skills and Mu.SA Museum Sector Alliance projects.

The main goals of MICA are to guarantee a wider age range in participants to activities, to give a wider and multicultural approach to professional experience, to fight cultural field isolation, to avoid social, age, sex, economic barrier to access high level professional training and to increase digital skills and new technologies access for participants.

MICA project capitalizes the results of the Mu.SA project and addresses especially the learners of the four Specialisation Courses (in 4 emerging role – profiles: Digital Strategy Manager, Digital Collections Curator, Digital Interactive Experience Developer and Online Community Manager) in Mu.SA course, coming from Greece, Italy and Portugal. The focus of the activities will be “How to manage and engage an active community for Cultural Institutions”. The partners Melting Pro, Hellenic Open University and University of Porto have collaborated closely in Mu.SA project.

On January 28th, 2022, the kick-off meeting of the MICA project was delivered online, hosted by Cultura REPublic from Italy, Coordinator of the project. In the meeting participated also the partners Melting Pro, from Italy and Hellenic Open University – DAISSy, from Greece.

The first project meeting was dedicated to an overview on the MICA project, the proposal submitted and previous agreements among partners. In the first part of the meeting the topic “Tools and Communication” was discussed, and proposals were made concerning MICA’s next steps. The discussion focused on the WORK CAFÉs and on how they can be translated from a live format to a digital one. More specifically, five WORK CAFÉs on subjects of Heritage field will be organized: Wc1 Tools, Wc2 Cultural best practices, Wc3 other fields best practices, Wc4 Crowdfunding, Wc5 Guests. Young experts from different fields (e.g., Gaming, Comics, online entertainment etc.) will be invited to each session, in which engaging an active community through digital means is already a consolidated reality.

Another issue in the agenda was the communication strategy, the community of participants created through an online digital platform, the project work activity and the crowdfunding campaign on a specific activity per community at country level.

The second part began with a summary of proposals on shared tools to be used for the collaboration of partnership and communication with the target groups. The last part of the meeting was about work packages, tasks, time –plan, financial & administrative issues.

The DELTA MOOC opens again this year, for all students and professionals in archaeology and cultural heritage!
DELTA course “Digital Excavation” developed by DELTA project partners (https://lnkd.in/deUVYQH), consists of four Modules:

  1. Digital Tools for Archaeological Practice/ Excavation;
  2. Documentation in situ and after excavation;
  3. Digital Preservation of cultural heritage monuments and artifacts;
  4. Open-Air Museums and Experimental Archaeology.

The MOOC will be delivered through DELTA platform, from 1st March 2022 until the 23nd May 2022. The course is in English, open to all and free of charge.
